Sullen
28 January, 2002
Author: Maranda Berkley
Here I sit
Alone as I always am
Alone as I always seem 2 be
I ask the question why
I hear no reply
I try to open my eyes to see
Alone in my room
Alone in my mind
Alone in the way I feel
My sullen eyes
My fallen heart
Is the way I am damned to be?
Why is there a curse?
Why is there a spell?
Placed upon only me
I cry my tears
I beg my pleads
But God never listens or hears
Here I sit
Away from the world
In the darkness of my minds being
Ask me not
Ask me please
To talk to you and tell you how I feel
My only friend
My only love
Is all you'll ever try to be?
I'll block you out
Pretend you don't exist
And remain desolate sullen me
Trapped in my nightmare it seems
