You sneak up behind my mind
And let yourself in
Reading my thoughts along the way
Tumbling down my cloudless sky
A comforting flight
In a sleepy dream
You land on a cushiony pillow
And it sucks you inside
Visions of life flashing before you
When the rain starts to pour
You hold on for dear life
Fighting the rapids
With both eyes open on the endless sea
Emptiness engulfs you
Making you its own
Making you blind to my mind
Much like the rest of the world
My thoughts are choked in you
And you're too weak to fight
So you swallow them down
With the water rushing behind
Too many nightmares
Colliding at once
You faint with the stench of tears
And dream your dreams of me
There I lay
Alone in a pool of saltwater
Crumbling with each word
Crying with every pointing finger
Begging for the world to accept me
Open eyes in the daylight
You find me in your arms
Sleeping soundly
Eyes fluttering with dreams
As you try to read my mind
