The Fall
14 May, 2004
Author: Teresa Ortberg
In order to think of you,
I go to the light of my imagination,
We fly to a place where all we have pondered
is possible, and nothing we dreamed impossible.
A place where your eyes fall only upon my skin,
damp and glistening as dew on the summer grass.
Where I breathe from your mouth the flower of wonder
and beauty.
Where secrets whisper, rains and dawns and stars
and sands and loves devour.
The place where moons and suns, galaxies and universes
gather to celebrate all slain hope.
A place where there is a calm and chaos and capture
that my heart dies for.
I know how deep your smile, how hard your love, how
far your longing and how swift your fall.
To see you in the embrace of that fall, having had
the joy I ever longed for you, only you, in your fall.

Where does he fall, let us ask, where has he been. A desert, nothing, but burning sand, hot wind, casuing his eyes to cry. Yet, he is saved, by the imagination of your heart, you save him, and you also, save me, as I read, the passion of your heart! MartinV |
