Tonight

Tonight
The sky is filled with twinkling stars
And the wind caresses the leaves on the trees.
The flowers give off a heady scent
As the crickets sing their song.
Tonight
The bushes sway in the cold, cold wind
And the creatures sit on their watch.
The mountains loom, ever watchful
And the mist covers the land.
Tonight
The waves crash on the rocks
And the salty sea sprays the shores.
The children fall off to sleep
As their mommies sing a lullaby.
If tonight brings such wonders
What more will the day bring?
It is such a blessing to live life,
It is wonderful to love life!
Tonight

Ben (67.122.250.251) -- Tuesday, August 12 2003, 04:03 am I am in agreement with ym, Bench! I like the imagery used...down to earth sights and sounds. A good feeling here, of being alive on earth!! Thanks! |
Enchantress (206.214.64.231) -- Tuesday, August 12 2003, 06:48 pm This entire poem gives away an image in your head. It also somehow makes it feel like your actually there. Quote Ben "A good feeling here..." That pretty much explains it. :D |
