Author: Brittany Walker
I woke up this morning
and realized ill be all right.
i guess i was a little obsessed with you
the feelings i can not fight.
i thought i would go crazy with out you
at first i kind of did
but ive decided not to cry anymore
because i am not a little kid.
im stronger now
than i ever knew.
i discoverd my inner strength
because of you.
i am the same person
inside and out
being with you
or being without.
i woke up this morning
and realized these things.
i know now its not you
when the telephone rings.
theres other guys out there
that ill grow to like.
i might fall in love
i could and i might

Tonya (166.70.7.161) -- Thursday, November 13 2003, 04:47 am I loved this poem, it did flow very nicely and I could relate to it very much especially right now. The part about the phone ringing is so true when you think it's him calling and your heart beats faster and then the disapointment you feel when you realize it's not. Great job. |
Pamela (66.38.146.7) -- Thursday, November 13 2003, 05:27 am I love everything this poem says - you acknowledge your insanely strong feelings for this guy that are taknig yo nowhere, and yet you are still acknowledging that he has helped shape the person you are. I love it, I think this is something I have felt before but never could find the words to say it as beautifully as you have here. |
Amanda Dulen (66.244.0.36) -- Friday, November 14 2003, 07:08 pm I love the way that the poem is so reflecting of the way that you are! You are do great and Im glad that I have go to get to know you!! Keep writting someday youll have your own book!! |
