Leading Role
7 May, 2002
Author: Alex Chronyj
You had always said
Until yesterday
Now you say, instead
Leading role he should play.
Didn't know him before
With him you're better off
Two love is your score
If you drink from his trough.
You had always said
Until yesterday
Now you say, instead
Leading role he should play.
Be my leading man
His leading lady
It sounds like a plan
Pointed this out to me.
Now you mention it
He has all along
Been only candidate
His word's, in soul's song.
You had always said
Until yesterday
Now you say, instead
Leading role he should play.
If still up to it
I will make amends
In outer orbit
Signals, me, he still sends.
You had always said
Until yesterday
Now you say, instead
Leading role he should play.
Thought always be alone
Shall reconfigure
His, has been my tone
Two, not one in picture.
You had always said
Until yesterday
Now you say, instead
Leading role he should play
