Giving Into The Darkness
15 April, 2003
Author: ErinBrenna
It starts slow at first
Barely moving.
Slowly inching it's way towards me.
I run, but yet I know
You can't hide from the inevitable.
And so it comes, terror in me I can't subdue.
Why is it choosing me to rip apart?
Of all the people in the world,
Won't someopne protect me, HELP.
Don't act like you don't see me!
Don't pretend you can't hear my cries!
I'm tired of you standing there while I break down,
I'm sick of you just watching as I die!
Can't you see?
It's eating me up inside.
It's hard to say, but...
Pity me.
It's so hard being alone in my pain and suffering.
I hate this bed I lay in all day.
I hate these tubes stuck inside me,
Why won't God just take me away!?
I see you walking by,
Trying not to look.
That's right! Turn away!
That's all any of you ever do anyways.
Lord... when I do finally go
Will you have a good home for me?
Will mommy and daddy be waiting?
WIll I get to have a puppy in heaven?
Can I finally stand up and dance!?
Maybe I'll be able to have friends,
Real friends thatlaugh with me and we can go play outside together!
Lord promise me Heaven is better than this place...
