I’m done with trying to make things work,
To patch things up like nothing is wrong.
Of smiling and assuring myself that alls the same,
That nothing has changed and you’re still you.

Obviously you changed in many ways,
And now your life does not include me.
We fooled ourselves into thinking friendship could work,
But well its not working and I’m sick of the charade.

Quit the act and nonchalant front,
You never were there for me so stop deceiving yourself.
I’m tired of making believe I still have a friend in you,
This one-sided effort is eating me alive and killing me.

So goodbye this time and boy do I mean it,
I’ve said goodbye before but my determination failed.
This time I swear to God things will be over,
This chapter of my life is over and done with.

No more crying tears of pain and regret,
Of tossing and turning in bed with longing.
None of those heartache and anguish within,
I’m wiping your memory out of my life.

------- Author's Notes -------

I've said goodbye once too many times, I'm tired of trying to make things work. You've hurt me once too many a time, I want someone who loves me more that I love him.

No More Rain In This Cloud

Great job Charmaine, for moving on and gaining true determination this time to press forward.... Friendship lost and betrayal-----I've went through that a dozen times, and it's a painful feeling! But, I commend you for being strong, and the wise person that you are to not let yourself get trapped in a predicament like this!!

Smiles,
Meri
