Daddy's Grave
23 May, 2004
Author: Fallen_Angel
Black and white photograph
another dies while the belief
slowly begins to rise
flowers upon the grave
for the one that will never come back
Paint their grave black
a skull decaying inside the nights
another skeleton wrapped in their rotting flesh
inside their deep brown wooden coffin
where the American flag covers thee
while the past clings to them
a little girl stands at her daddy's grave
with a black rose she whispers quietly
happy fathers day daddy..
her little pink dress and knees against the cold dirt
with a sweet kiss upon his tombstone
she kindly says in a pale voice
don't worry daddy though I'm already five
I'll always be your little girl
another sacrifice forgotten in the war
in this soul I hold you close
placing a peice of paper on his grave
she slowly begins to walk away
"I write this letter
to my father
I need you in the silence
that keeps me prisoner in your grave
I need you daddy
I need you to listen
while I'm sitting here bleeding
feeding upon every drop of blood that flows from me
daddy,are you here?
why did you leave me you lay there in silence
hello daddy I'm here slitting my hallow veins
I need your attention I need to know
Why did you go?
I remember everything you said
daddy I remember the time I glanced at you
while you laid pail and dead
you lay here prisoner inside my head
Dear daddy your little girl got another scar
dear daddy your little girl needs you here"

I feel sorry for your loss.... it's heart wrenching, and painful to lose a loved one.... Very descriptional, vivid, and the words in present tense, is so..... touching... Smiles, Meri |
