Too Close, To The Water
28 May, 2004
Author: ShyHeart
Sitting here, watching stars, dancing, across the water
Bursting into a million diamonds, when, caught..., by a wave
Hear the whispher, of the wave, as it comes to shore, then disappears
The wave has set the sand to glowing, then, the glow, fades away
See a star, on a mission, streaking down, from the heavens
In a furry, to obey, your command, hear a sizzle..., it hit the water
Its flame has died, like the water, once upon the sand
I feel inside, the words you said, now, like water, upon the sand
Then suddenly, not a sound, its as quite as a grave, not even, one wave
The biggest star, I have ever seen, dances, upon the water
No wave can challenge it, as the moon takes its place, upon the water
This is a message, I don't understand, perhaps, I'm just
"Too Close, To The Water"

Martin Vann (4.244.87.211) -- Saturday, May 29 2004, 06:33 pm Thank You Ladies of the pen, Funny isn't it, what we find, when we go back and see what we wrote. Barb, you are so, right, the poem, had a peaceful charm, was not not my intent. Mommie2bratsus, its good to know, in time, I will understand, these words of mine. I'd love to share some tea and raisins, with you anytime. As I began to write this poem, I got caught by, the song, "Everything gets hotter, when the sun goes down," Poets and songwriters, how much they share with the world, glad to be, a part of it. Thank You both, for telling me, what you felt I wrote. {Siill hear that song, even in my reply} Everything gets hotter, when the sun goes down. MartinV |
Meridian (64.12.116.200) -- Saturday, May 29 2004, 09:39 pm Good afternoon Martin! I found that poem very inspirational, while I'm eating beefaroni as I type..... Your words about nature, and the bright glow, and how you're too close to the water..... But, something changed, whereas the biggest wave couldn't harm you, if I'm correct, (this is what I gathered)...... It was like a message, as you've stated, and that was very heart warming! Smiles, Meri |
Martin Vann (4.244.93.43) -- Sunday, May 30 2004, 07:51 pm Meridian, Very good reply, another view, yet, you saw it to. Barb said, relaxing, and peaceful, thanks for the escape. Sometimes in our lives, we say we want to run away, but, never, really want to go. Mommie2bratsus, say we will discovery our own mysteries Now that, sounds exciting to me. MartinV Beeforoni, sounds good, I'm a little hungry, myself. |
