Rain Drop

I sit on the window ledge and look out the window. It's dark, it's raining, again. I watch the rain drops fall and shatter as they hit the earth, staining the ground. The sound of the rain is soothing and comforting. The sound of each drop shattering, dying. It only relieves me. Takes away my pain. The pain I hold inside, inside my mind, my heart. It is then I slip into another dimension. A place splattered with blood, filled with hate. Each rain drop is a soul, a soul like mine. Crying out, before it hits the ground. Images of the past, the sorrow in which I live is now before my very eyes. I turn cold and shiver as I watch. I shudder at each memory. I clos my eyes and scream out in pain. Everything breaks into pieces like shattered glass. It is now that I realize the truth. I too am a rain drop.
