with You I Have Everything
29 May, 2004
Author: Clive B Ringshall
We held tight I remember after that night,
As I remembered how it began,
I arrived home at 5 that day,
The smell of my favorite flower filled the air,
Lavender filed my senses as you knew it would,
Candles burning just how I liked,
A bath you had ready,
I was now in heaven,
Never crossed my mind to ask “but why”
Dinner was served my favorite again,
I knew I was lucky with you in my arms,
As we kicked back and lay by the fire,
You told me of you’re day,
It started bad and went to worse,
You slipped in the shower that hurt you then,
On the way to the store,
He hit you from behind,
The car now in the shop that’s going to cost,
You arrived home to find the door open,
Nothing lost just an awful mess,
Only wanted for this day to be special,
Our first day in our new home,
This was not how it was meant to be,
I love you dear and wanted it to be right,
You started to cry,
Listen to me and I’ll hug you tight,
Our first day this is true,
The first of many more I know,
A day to remember this you’ve had,
But as long as we are together I have everything,
As long as you are well, I have everything,
Car’s can be replaced,
The house will be tidy again,
But you my love I cannot replace,
With you I have everything.

Meridian (64.12.116.200) -- Saturday, May 29 2004, 09:46 pm I love the comparison.... Of how some things can and cannot be replaced.... Hot tubs, flowers, and dinner you had ready, but her day wasn't happy...... Awww, but even though it wasn't a terrific day, ----- it was a terrific ending, of how you tell her she means everything! Beyond great Clive! Smiles, Meri |
