Waiting For Him
28 May, 2004
Author: Del
I'm sitting here on the balcony
On this dark and dreary night.
The light beaming from the lighthouse
Is the only light in sight.
My sailor sweetheart is out there
Where, I do not know.
He's only been gone a week,
But it seems like so long ago.
On our last night together,
He was sitting here with me.
It was a warm moonlit night
With millions of stars to see.
We spent most of that day,
Nestled in each others arms.
I felt so much joy and rapure,
While he showed me all his charms.
The days will go by so slowly,
Until he's in my arms once more.
There's nothing I can do, but wait
Til he comes walking thru that door.
