The Pain You Haven't Caused
31 May, 2004
Author: LinzAy
I don't know what you're saying
I can barely hear the words that flow from your mouth
Defeaned by the sound of broken hearts
I've seen the game that you're playing
Saved by the pain of being already torn apart
I look away
I look away
I don't want to look into your eyes
I don't want to know the pain of goodbye
~Before there's even a "Hello"
And the essence of love
Taken from you in a breeze
You don't understand the pain
That you haven't yet caused
~That's already brought me to my knees
And so I look away
And so I look away
Can't say I don't miss you
Though I barely gave you any mention of how I feel
A muted voice was probably best
It's a shame that what's the truth
Isn't what I need it's just a spinning wheel
One look at you that's not what I'd have guessed
That's why I look away
...I look away
