thank you for :
being there
showing me that you care

every evening
before I head off to work
I receive a phone call from you
as if you were walking me to my car

during the middle of the night
you make the effort to call
to see how I am

sometimes it seems
as if though you can sense
when I am feeling down
your voice becomes such a cheerful sound

every morning I hear from you again
as if you were there running me a bath
and handing me my cup of tea
to start anew day

you have always known
what I carry in my heart
you have always known
that nothing could keep us apart

you have been my best friend
for years and will remain best friends
for years to come

if I haven't expressed that before
let me express it now...
thank you for being there all this time
thank you for being my friend

I hope you know
how much I appreciate
having you in my life
we will remain
friends for life..

this is dedicated to a dear friend
whom has been in my life for many many years .
even before i fell in love and married/my husband..
he has always been the best...
we have this unique friendship
that no one could ever take away..
even when i got married he remained my best friend,
my husband was cool..
he trusted us as drinking buddies..
he recently took on a job in Hawaii..
his calls keep coming my way ..
it is when those calls stop that i will worry ...

Thank you for such a loyal comment... yes my buddy and i have gone thru some tryin' times and he has always been there for me ..he helped me accept my husbands death ..he would go out of his way for me as i would for him..if i didn't have a family living at home,or a job to go to every night i probably would of joined him and headed out to hawaii.. but i am also a loyal and commited MOM..thats what i do best..
