A gentle hand stroked my head,
while I was sleeping on the bed,
with lot of thoughts lingering
on my brain,
this fondle woke me up,
without any strain.

She is the first face I meet,
and I consider that as a treat,
Since she makes my day,
and prays it to be happier,
and full of gay.

I call this lady "Mother"
As she is the one who bothers,
a lot about me,
cause she still feels,
that I would crack into peals,
if left alone, on my own.

She expects nothing from my side,
but she never stops the love from her side,
Any relation in this world is mutually bond,
but this one has no contracts or bonds.

She has given up her life,
thinking nothing but about my life,
She always has kind words for me,
She is still concerned about me.

Before,I call out loud,"Mother",
She is always somewhere near,
The love she sheds on me,
Can never be repayed by me.

There's a special attraction,
apart from the maternal emotion,
for a mother to her children.

She takes all our pain,
and sometimes even our rain
of shouts, and still be soft,
and will never throw us off.

So many sacrifices,
so many sufferings,
but still,she makes no claims,
eventhough we inflict her with maims.

Her care,love and passion,
can never be explained in any fashion,
No words could describe it,
No praise can supplement it.
