It Can't Be True

The words so softly,
They came right out,
Having no clue,
What she’s talking about,
I wasn’t prepared,
Please take it back,
I don’t want to hear,
About another heart attack,
Dad is still with us,
Everything you say is a lie,
I know that he’s here,
Our dad is still alive,
Why are crying,
With that tone in your voice,
What’s going on?
“Trina it wasn’t my choice,”
But he had to be here,
He’s too young to die,
Please just tell me,
Is what you’re saying a lie?
Oh dear God!
Just give him back to me,
I don’t want my dad,
To have to rest in peace,
He needs to see me grow,
It can’t be true,
Oh dad I’m sorry,
I’m really going to miss you…

Heart goes out....

Hey Trina... My heart goes out to you and your family for the loss of your father... I'm sorry about what happened... Bittersweet poem... Very sweet words, even though the pain within is bitter....
I send you my deepest condolences...

Smiles,
Meridian
