The Boy Next Door
8 June, 2004
Author: Terrie*
the boy next door
quite a catch is he
folks thought
he had a thing for me
truth is best friends we became
best friends we will always be
partners may come and go
but our love as friends is thick as blood
people don't seem to understand
the way that he holds me
is not the same as lovers do
our embrace as friends has great meanin' to me
when I have no one he is there for me
if I need someone to hold me late at night
my best friend is there for me
when I've beat myself to the bone
my friend puts his arms around me
when I've cried many tears my friend
kisses them all good-bye
he and I are very much alike
he knows what i want
he knows how to please me
when I feel alone and so lost
my friend will always be
a phone call away just for me.....

Meridian (205.188.116.200) -- Tuesday, June 8 2004, 06:30 pm That's absolutely fantastic to find a close friend... Someone you've known for awhile, who has never changed in personality or trust... I admire that! This is a very good "friendship" poem about the boy next door! Smiles, Meridian |
