My Wonderful Dream
7 June, 2004
Author: Del
I woke up this morning,
And was filled with incredible delight.
My memory was trying to recapture,
The wonderful dream I had last night.
The stars just started peeking,
Out of the velvety moonlit sky.
I was walking alone down a country lane,
Heard a sound I couldn't identify.
I kept on walking and listening,
And before I got very far,
I realized it was soft sweet music.
Someone was strumming a guitar.
He was sitting on the steps of a cottage.
I stopped said, 'Hi, very nice tune.'
He put down his guitar, walked over to me,
And said he was serenading the moon.
I heard my heart beating faster,
And I felt my knees grow weak.
I was so very exited,
I could hardly speak.
Here was my dearest internet friend,
I thought I would never meet.
He was just as I knew he would be,
So kind, gentle, loving and sweet.
