A Slave To Love
10 June, 2004
Author: Del
I feel like a slave,
Put in shackles every day,
Not free to do what I want to do,
Or say what I want to say.
I feel like a lioness,
Pacing around in a cage,
Trying to find a way out,
Of this difficult, intricate maze.
Someone's tugging on my heart strings,
Every time I'm alone with him.
My poor heart is trying to tell me,
This is just a crazy whim.
Maybe it is, dear heart of mine,
But I adore him, can't you see?
So, whatever happens in the future,
I'll have this beautiful memory.
