God, please help me be the kind of person,
I would like everyone on earth to be,
Kind and loving to my family and friends.
Let me share all the good things I enjoy
With others less fortunate than me.

Keep me from getting depressed,
When things don't go my way.
Give me the wisdom and strength,
To keep myself healthy and strong,
So I can help others
When they need a helping hand.

Let me give joy and laughter to others,
Whenever the opportunity arises.
Thank you for all the answered prayers,
You've given me thru the years.

Today I have need for a very special prayer.
This great country of ours is in a turmoil.
I know you are being beseeched with prayers.
Please help us rid our world of hatred.

Please put love back into the heart of man,
So no one has to again suffer,
Like so many, many are suffering today.
Please, dear God, we're counting on you.
Amen
