The Bright Lights Of London City
13 June, 2004
Author: Ben Franklin
'Now you look after yourself sally,
Londons a different world',
'i will be fine mother'sally replied.
'My trains here i have to go'
'ok,phone me when you get there',
'I will,bye i love you'.
Sally arrived in London two hours later,
with her lagguage and a white piece of paper,
this piece of paper was very important to her,
it had the name and address of where her audition was.
Sally was a young actress,
she had come to London to find her dream,
but in London not everything is what it seems.
Sally found the nearest payphone and rang her mum as promised,
She spoke for about 5minuites,
as she hung up the phone she looked down beside her,
her lagguage had gone, which had all her money in and most importantly her piece of paper,
she started panicking,
then a scruffy looking man said 'hey follow me i saw the man who took your bag,
Sally believing him followed the man, she introduced herself and told him she was a actress,
he led her down a side road then dragged her down a alley,
he turned to her and said 'can you play dead?'
no one heard from sally again,
she went to follow her dreams,
but found the bright lights instead.

Meridian (205.188.116.200) -- Monday, June 14 2004, 03:30 pm WHOA HUSHY! That's was very sad about Sally, the actress.... Divine way of writing this marvellous piece of work Ben! Yeah, nowadays we have to be careful, there are a lot of crazy people in the world, who'll pull any stunt, for you to believe, and then for you to wind up dead.... This poem made me ponder..... Again, wonderful my friend!!! Smiles, Meridian |
