taking time to share
taking time to care
wanting to know

what kept me so sad
was it that bad?
did I let sadness show?

you came along
stretched out your arm
took time to read my heart

took me by my hand
opened your heart
a true friend you are

you truely understand
you put everything aside
and made time

for my aching heart
never had someone do that much for me
you never let off until I took your hand

you said you'd come to my aid
whenever my heart felt beaten and frayed
to share a caring moment with me

you my friend
came the distance
as you said you would

sat patiently at my bedside
until my last teardrop was released
you tucked me in

gave me a hug and a kiss
when I turned around
to reach for your hand

you slowly faded away
but my heart sings a tune
of a different beat

you are my angel
that tends to my heart
when things seem to fall apart

you seem to know what to say
and all the sadness melts away
I think I'm looking forward to today!!!
