It Is All The Same

i sit
legs stretched out-
outside..the even beep beep
noise of a car-
eternal swish of traffic.
it is all overwhelming
and then it is not.
in detail
i see the clarity
of imperfections
on this cloudless day.
no glaring sun-
yet,
the brilliance
of this even lighting
accentuates every flaw-
accentuates every perfection..
they are the same ?
it is how we see it-
how we have slept-
how our relationships are going-
how we are alone-
how strong is our strength.
beauty in the eye of the viewer-
beauty is in the eyes.
beauty in imperfection...
yet,
they are the same ?
perceptions and illusions..
change with time-
with experiences-
with every precise moment.
and so i sit,
legs stretched out-
listening to the background
city symphony-
the mid summer sounds-
the mid summer feeling-
that has attacked this city.
confused in thought,
yet clear...
i know what i know ?
