Pharaoh's Dream
23 June, 2004
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Build me a place that points to the stars
A place where I may lay my body stilled
A place grand that all may see
Reminding them of my life
Mark it with pictures of my story
My dreams and life's achievements
So that I may again remember
On the day which I return
Preserve my face in the art left behind
Fill the jars with needs for my desires
Leave with me many treasures
So that I will never want
Hide my sarcophagi deep down beneath
Where the living dare not try to dwell
I want many rooms and hallways
Only knowing, will walk free
Allow me a way to reach to the stars
Should my soul ever desire to depart
So that I may travel among them
And watch from above
Build me a likeness for my spirit to reside
A chamber for it to ponder and dream
Until it is my time to return to earth
Where again I may reign supreme
