Solitude Finished
25 June, 2004
Author: Scorpio
Bearing its own will
I stand alone
Stranded; broken
Forgotten, on my own
I am just a window
Something you see through
If only you saw me
How I could see you
But now it's solitude
My only friend
It's only solitude
Unto my sorrowed end
Nothing's unbroken
Nothing's untouched
But with solitude
Reality, I've clutched
These shadows constrict
Imaginary fears
I thought I needed you
To clear these tears
I am just a window
Something you see through
If only you saw me
How I could see you
But now it's solitude
My only friend
It's only solitude
Unto my sorrowed end
Nothing's unbroken
Nothing's untouched
But with solitude
Reality, I've clutched
All these years
Sacrificing for you
Now you've left me stranded
With nothing left to do
There is only one true friend
One true peace
Solitude, it's you
With you, I'm at ease
But now it's solitude
My only friend
It's only solitude
Unto my sorrowed end
Nothing's unbroken
Nothing's untouched
But with solitude
Reality, I've clutched
------- Author's Notes -------
This is the finished version of my poetic song, Solitude. I'd appreciate some feedback, because it's my first song. So yeah. |
