Down By The Lake
26 June, 2004
Author: Ben Franklin
I past them everyday
by the lake they sit
they look about seventy odd
but healthy and fit
They fish for hours on end
throwing the bait in the water
pretending to be the fishes
friend
Cans of ice cold guiness either side of them
admiring nature
One day i heard them crying,
so i decided to walk up behind them,
i taped the man on the left on the shoulder
he turned around looking startled,
i said 'are you ok?i heard you crying,
the man on the left replied 'we were crying tears of laughter,we were telling jokes,
come,
sit down,
have one of these,'
So i cracked open a cold guiness
and cried the afternoon away.
