Days End
26 June, 2004
Author: Brian Strunk
When the day has reached its end,
And your left standing, once again,
In the place you have many times before,
Wondering where you are, when you'll call?
Tell me you need me today.
Tell me that your in a bind,
And call to me, like you do,
Just when you need me.
This waiting game is killing me.
I have to feel more wanted,
I need your call soon, on the edge
Waiting to answer your call
My fone in one hand, keys in the other
Just need something, baby, i'll come
Like I always do, to feel needed,
And then softly forgotten.
I just need you to need me, if just for a minute
So that I can pick up and move on, till next time
I can hold out a bit longer, I can stay awake
Holding my breath, but i'n blue in the face.
I've anticipated a future thats not there.
Now, what do I look forward to.
If i try and sleep, I'll toss and turn
Waiting for your call, please call......
