It's all over and done
Somebody sell me a clue

I don't believe my ears
I know deep down inside
She's gonna come back here
here where true love resides

to hope against all hope

to be such a love-struck dope

to hold on tight to a burning rope

She's as mad as can be
And I walk in the flame
She won't talk to me
no matter what I say
Still I know she'll see
if I give it some time
She belongs with me
her heart next to mine
So I go to my knees
each and every night
And I ask God to please
send her some peace and light
With tears on my face
I pray with all my soul
He'll show her the way
And guide her safely home
