The Road, To Where Ever, We Go
28 June, 2004
Author: ShyHeart
You and I, have shared so much, like a river bed, gone dry
Still, I remember the thunder, before love rushed down and
Overwhelmed our hearts. I remember the lightening
I remember, the passion, as it rushed through our hearts
Both of us, travel love's road, sometimes, two hearts meet
And both of us, have another direction, So, on we go, trying...,
To satisfy our souls, this, can be a lonely road
Someone tells us, reach for God, God, I have tried, still, I'm on this road
I feel, the sunshine, as it warms my heart, I feel the falling rain
As it cleanses my soul and most of all, I'm grateful, for knowing you
I hope, that someday, you and I, finally, find the way, that
Lead us, back to us, we have shared so, much, in all this rain
I was in a forest, when I first met you, you asked, do I
Hear your words, I can tell you, I heard every word
I heard every sound you made, as you shared your breath with me
I felt your heart beat in every word, I feel their touch, my heart sees
There is a road, love must travel to find, out what we know
There is a road to travel to find, out about ourselves
There is a road to travel, before we, speak to our souls
There is, you and me, you satisfy my soul
I need to feel you, as the clouds, surround the sun
I need to taste you, as the roses, taste the due
And I do, as I travel, so, far from you, I don't want to go
You mean, all the sun means, like its warmth, upon the rose
"You Are, My Road, To Where Ever, We Will Go."
