More About Dolphins
29 June, 2004
Author: Dragonsinger
once upon a long ago
i saw the dolphins much
they laughed and pranced and beckoned so
calling for me and such
i spot them now, through this despair
glad again to see
their joyfully entrancing glare
filled with bitter glee
they mean to carry me away
from empty phantom'd lake
that i might freely with them play
for free forever's sake
but still about them this i know
(i'm painfully aware)
a-dancing with them i can't go,,,
i stay for those who care.
------- Author's Notes -------
My second dolphin poem. This one is different... I wanna go. But I can't. There really are wonderful people out there, wonderful people who have always stuck by me, who deserve thanks, not pain. I can't hurt them that way. So I stay. |
