Almost Anorexic

eternal battles fought
mind games"and for naught
but to please, to satisfy
it's just the world's eye"
ha!
'just', you say.
like such a little thing.
(but both ways are so questioning
do they like you for you
or just you's body
but even if they prefer the you,
then you wants to please them
and so it falls
full circle)
thinner you need, thinner must have, thin
-alternatives- call but can't let them win
-alternatives- call but
such temporary satisfaction after all...
right?
it's better worth the pain
to know for sure
(but knowing is doubting it seems)
we're all just lookedat, perfectshould things
alternatives daunt alternatives taunt
they wear you down
visions they dance visions they prance
driving you to brink of madness
playing(though if you're crazy, people dont care what
you look like)
this game without knowing the rules
so finally, finally the food wins......
at least until tomorrow
------- Author's Notes -------
This is actually about ED-NOS... compulsive overeating... non-purging bulimia. Anyone who's been there ought to understand this poem. If you haven't... well, be GLAD. |

anonymous (24.28.91.86) -- Tuesday, June 29 2004, 11:59 pm It's horrible everyday, when you're a compulsive overeater. I hope that you've gotten over it, if there is a way. I've tried looking inside my self a thousand ways and have never found a cure. I hate myself, food i stronger than me. How pathetic right? |
