I whispered your name
but you were unable
to feel my words flow
like you had before

two hearts suffering
two hearts crossing
into a zone
they'd never been

no calm waters
to soothe or embrace
no rainbows
to direct or bring them back

two lost hearts
searching for peace
and a place to rest
two warm hearts
out in the cold

hoping to someday
be reunited
at another time
in another life

so they can find
what they lost
before their time
as they escape

the rushed hours
in a life that
was short lived..
before their love
could be completely shared
they worry not
because nothing can take away
or compete with the love that
they continue to share..
