Stolen Innocence
2 July, 2004
Author: ErinBrenna
Sweet sixteen
Or so they say.
The time when memories
Bittersweet are made.
But innocence was a privilege
That was quickly taken away.
And time could never heal
The pain that was caused that day.
Best friends walking
Jealous eyes watching
As he yearningly stared at her.
Days of laughter
Holding each other
Their friendship takes a deadly turn.
That day he'd crossed the line
She wouldn't make an exception.
Muffling screams to let go
He wouldn't take her rejection.
Struggling in vain
Tears of pain
She didn't understand why.
He'd been waiting so long
No longer caring what's wrong
As he took her innocence he cried.
His kiss of shame when it was over
Displayed their faces stained with tears.
She lay there limp, cold, and afraid
Betrayal, violation, scarred for years.
The shame of it all led him to agony
Erasing the pain by ending his life.
The secret she never told tore her apart
In her was his child, in darkness was a light.
