Working Around Lifes Tragedies...
2 July, 2004
Author: Terrie*
life at work
is like living in the fast lane
so kaotic
to run to a code
try and save someones life
unable to do Gods job
my world falls apart
my best friend has moved away
my lover far off in another state
so I sit here
and look up to the sky
and seek an embrace from God
and hear his answers in the breeze
for only he knows the answers
because no-one ever seems to know why?
someones son, father,brother uncle,
lover and friend's life was lost today
we do the best that we can
and leave the rest to the lord
as we all shed tears
we cover the families with comfort
as best as we can
and pray for the soul
of the loved one that just passed onto a new life...

Terrie* (65.136.7.235) -- Friday, September 17 2004, 02:12 am WOW!! both your parents same year/month? at 15..you were but a child ..yet had to quickly transform into an adult world..i am so sorry to hear that you had to face such tragedy..i think when there is no closure within a death, it will affect us .it takes great strength and good support of loved ones to accept..and let go...but even then we have memories..of their final hour that sometimes we appreciate ,but at times regret.. i still have one painful death that i'm trying to let go of..i face a death almost every day in my job.it tends to eat at ones marshmellow heart.....mental,i have read all your poetry and i find them very intriguing, my fav has to be " when i see a rainbow" once again ..i appreciate your kind thought...keep your poetic heart in the cycle of life...HUGS/LOVE |
