We've Been Here Before
5 July, 2004
Author: Brett
This seems to be yet another dejavu
Another difficult situation involvong me and you..
We both pretend to be made of steel
But afterwards the pain inside me seems almost unreal..
Why do we proceed to hurt each other?
We have always tried to be there and support one another..
Is it me, is it you, did we become friends too soon?
Or is this just a friendship destined to be doomed?..
I don't know what else to do right now
I've been as good a friend as I know how..
We've laughed together, cried together, and much more
But these fights aren't worth destroying my core..
These tears I shed are all because of you
Each one a memory of good things we used to do..
The more I cry, the faster they go
Soon I'll be empty, incomplete, and hollow..
I've said it before and I'll say it again
Your true memories stay, but I need a true friend..
------- Author's Notes -------
The pain of losing a true friend can seem unbareable. But there is always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how far away it seems. We will all reach it eventually. |

Meridian (64.12.116.200) -- Monday, July 5 2004, 09:49 pm Brett, another creation yet! Once again, your poems stand out!! Losing a friend is hard, because you've been together so long, it's like losing a sister or brother... I know how you feel... Very good way of describing Brett! Take it easy!! Smiles, Meridian |
