Look Around What Do You See by Terrie*

If you were to sit out on your front porch
this very minute what would you see?
would you see the same as me?

I see..
a mommy watching as daddy teaches a daughter to ride a bike...
two friends playing catch

up the street I see a group of youth rebuilding their ramp for their skate board
across the street I see a couple head out to their early morning college class,

an elderly couple waving to me as they take their dog out for a walk.
I see some neighbors gather by to chat as their children board the school bus
across the way amtrak heading north on the track
a short distance away on the main street folks boarding the city bus

I hear our puppy at the door wanting to be let out..
as he sees a wee one jumping on to our porch...
running to me for a hug..
a child of a friend that has been gone for awhile..

it feels so good to get such a loving squeeze
from this little munchkin I think of as my own.
it seems like no matter where I look
there is always something spectacular happening..

especially watching from my own little porch ..
I'm glad I took time out again today to breathe what was in lifes air...
tell me ..
are you as lucky as me?
do you get to see the same as I?

Terrie*! What's happening? I never thought about it that way.... Well, anyways, I already know what's gonna happen when I sit on my front porch... The same, kids playing, mothers yelling, cars screeching.... It's like a never-ending episode.... LOL! I would love to come where you're at and observe though!! Great thoughts! come on over.. i'll have my son start Bar B Q 'N and we'll have chilled tea on the rocks.. yea that day was such a great day .. i am taking a short break from postin' i do have plenty of my work in drafts.. but i need to tend to something very important in my life "ME/LOVE" Schmilin' for ya......hugs/love always
