Somethings Wrong
7 July, 2004
Author: Barbara Goodhew
If animals are neglected and abused.
People are disgusted and we think how
pathetic and sad.
The caretakers are given stiff jail terms, fines
and the hatred from others.
If kids are abused and neglected.
People say oh what a shame.
They get a short jail term and a slap on the wrist.
So the message we get is human's can handle
abuse.
Animals need our compassion and protection.
abuse.
Something is wrong with this way of thinking.

Tammy (66.38.4.235) -- Wednesday, July 7 2004, 07:20 am This is so true, so many children in our world are abused everyday, and so little is done about it. It makes my heart cry, thanks for sharing!!! |
Meridian (64.12.116.200) -- Wednesday, July 7 2004, 07:37 am Once again, you have another geniune thought provoking poem... Society is a little twisted in this day and time... That is definitely upside down.... It sould be the other way around... The ones that neglect and abuse children, should get longer sentences... Divine posting Barb!! True statements!! Smiles, Meridian |

The victims have a life long sentence. the abusers only have 3 years for their nasty deed.ticks me off when I hear crap like this. |
