Reflection In The Mirror

She looks in the mirror and doesn't like the reflection she sees. "Your too fat, She's way skinner than you." She didn't know what all of this would lead to. A life of counting calories and starving to death. Fifteen and weight 102 pounds was still too much. Everyone said you look fine your down to a size three how much littler do you want to be? But she looks back into her mirror and still sees the girl she didn't want to be. Nothing was ever good enough, I don't understand I thought losing weight would make me happier with my body but it only make me feels worst. She wanted to be like all the girls in magazines and videos but was confused. Until one day she looked in her mirror and finally understood, I can't be nobody but me. |

Meridian (205.188.116.200) -- Saturday, July 24 2004, 08:28 am Yeah, sometimes, I think, some people don't realize how slim they really are, wanting to please others, and thinking they are overweight, when they can wear a size nine, and maybe smaller..... But, it's also not healthy to be too skinny, gotta have a little flesh, a little meat....hahaha....As long as you're happy with you, then you've already passed the test... Good job La_LonLey_Dreamer! Everyone is pretty in their own way! As long as they believe that!! lol! I gotta work on that myself, who am I telling! Your poems are really good and professional! Take care! Smiles, -Meridian |
