Fill This Hole
21 April, 2000
Author: Bobcat
I don't comprehend
this pain.. I see
A part has now
Been taken from me.
It can't be real
I won't allow it to be
as I fall to the ground
praying for thee.
These tears of love
Burning down my face
As I still see you sitting
In your now empty space.
This internal fire
It rips me apart
It's the emptiness inside
My frost bitten heart.
These thoughts aren't perceived
With many words I can't say
Why did the Lord choose you
This dark, saddened day?
But the blackness is now cleared
As the birds chirp their song
For they know you're in heaven
Where you truly belong.
I have one plea, God
Just take care of his soul
As you do for all others
But how do we fill this hole?
