Not Necessary
17 July, 2004
Author: Pamela O'Brien
Wouldn't it be nice
If just one person
Complimented you, instead of belittled you
And tuned into how it feels
To be insulted
With no necessity at all
If they would remember
How it feels to be insecure
And that criticism
Is fuel to the fire
Of self-hate & low self-esteem
Perhaps they would think twice
Before they spoke
