Nuptial Of The Heart

In reverence to Life I show you love,
And for the sake of love I’ll keep your heart,
And as the twilight shades loom over us,
I join our souls today to never part.

And in our bed we‘ll love as was intended,
For Fate fixed us together on this day,
And while we make love I will give thanks.
For knowing that you're mine makes my heart sway.

I shall undress your flawless body,
And also strip your soul, but not to fast,
I want to keep this moment ever living,
In the seal of our passion it will last.

And when we’re united as one,
Amidst our whimpers of blissful release,
I’ll hold your body close to mine,
And devour your offerings piece by piece.

As I am yours you’re mine, and our is the conquest,
And by simply loving we will set the example,
No matter the barriers in your path,
You can fight the world if your love is ample.

In the afterglow of lovemaking we let go,
We’re lay here and gaze upon each other,
In your eyes I see myself with you forever,
The softness in those orbs, it has me smothered.

You can pretty much see it happening as you're reading, yet it still has the 'traditional poem' feeling to it. As what the poem is based on, Ask me and I might tell you, you'd be surprised. ^_^ Love L.E
