Just Another Tragic Tale

One, two, three, four!
Feel the music running through your veins,
Dance until you can dance no more,
Let the beat move you, Let the lights surround you,
Move with the grace of a dying word.
Get in the dance floor and pour your soul,
Grace will guide you through every song,
Shine, you’re the fallen star in the sky of their lives,
This world is your stage, and the melody is your blood.
One, two, three, four!
You are the best there is, and they all know,
You give them what they want, yet the price is high,
You are a waning light, in the darkness of this age,
Jealous hearts move around you,
Tonight you will die!
This is your last show,
but you don’t know that yet,
You will dance for them for the last time,
They love you, they really do,
Yet no one will be there to catch you when you fall.
One, two, three, four!
“Look at her, she’s so beautiful”
“I wish I was her”
“I want her”
“How much should I offer?”
Those thoughts echoed throughout their minds,
But were silenced by a twist of fate.
And when the song ended, as she bowed,
A gunshot rang throughout the stage,
Blood splashed their faces,
Wrenched and shook their hearts,
Her lovely face twisted in surprise,
And bloody hands, that now lay limp,
Where outstretched to them, In a soundless "why"
One, two, three, four!
------- Author's Notes -------
This poem is a story of a famous dancer that's killed by one of her jealous co-workers... It's quite dramatic, hence the name... Enjoy, or rather keep some tissues at hand love L.E ^_^ |

Tarna (4.226.171.1) -- Monday, July 26 2004, 11:04 am Interesting story line for the poem while reading I thought it was about a ballroom dance or even a sword fight for a while funny how you can read so many things into one writing.. I liked the clarification in the author's note after allowing my mind to try and puzzle it out :) very twising tale :) |
