The Great Grassshopper Hunter
22 July, 2004
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Domesticate beast
Through long grasses creep
Forever you seem ready to pounce
Stalking your prey
happily, each and every day
On the trail of some unfortunate
Suddenly spying
A movement your finding
And the thrill of the chase give way
Spring into action
Jump first this way, or that
Nose in grass, leading the game
Dang, scent is lost
But you are a clever dog
Now you just lay there in wait
