I Have A Fragile Heart... by Terrie*

I have a tender heart...
my feelings get hurt
very easily
my dad was number one
whom kept my heart from breaking

my husband was also there
to keep my heart intact
but can you believe the two
whom protected my heart
for many years..
the only two men in my life..
were the very ones whom
broke my heart
when they left me here all alone?
to fend for myself
in a world
that will swallow me whole

I still carry a heart that
is fragile as can be
there are times when my heart
stays in my throat

I simply can not speak a word
with out bursting out in tears
I know I should allow my heart
to be stronger than that

believe me I have tried
I have had friends pass me by
w/o acknowledging that
I stood right there close by

I have had friends shine me on
for reasons unknown to me
I went into a tender mode

my eyes became watery
my heart completely shattered
later to find out it was due to
the life I chose and who and how
it was chosen by me
i'm independent
i love to remain free.
i am who i am
if you'll let me be..
my heart gets easily bruised
thats the only thing wrong with me..

yes my heart is fragile
a simple jesture may seem
innocent but my heart feels
the rough edges that were
never sent
but yet i know
what was meant
I have a tender heart...
only my best friend stood by
to dry the tears from my broken heart
i await for God to send me an angel
whom will take my heart in his hand
and place it into his heart...
to prevent it from falling apart

Some Hearts, Feel Nothing At All...,
Terrie, I have known, many hearts, left empty, from V-Nam, to Iraq, I could go on, JUST, read, my heart, so many of us cry, at night when we are alone, we think, no one hears, tears make the loudest sound of all. Cry, if, you must, but I say, make sure, of why you cry, it is because, you are alone, or because someone, you truly love, is not by your side, someone your heart, says belongs to you. Terrie, don't cry, if, in you heart you feel love, doesn't matter if, he is at your side or not, in the day-light, sometimes, love is looking up at the stars, wipeing tears from your lonely eyes still, you feel, his love, in your soul. You are so fortunate to feel such pain, some hearts, feel nothing at all. -MartinV
