A Dying Tribute
23 July, 2004
Author: Scorpio
Sisters to the best
Sisters to the end
To lend the shirt off your back
And give it to your friend
Solitude is fair
With its wonderous splender
But with someone to confide in
This happiness, I render
The three of us
You me, and my neice
Your little daughter, my pride
Our family bond in threece
Horrible news is passed
One after another
And the last is not the least
For its words, I cannot alter
Sadness at its peak
Now just over the edge
Here is to falling
To my tribute, my pledge
Here's to little Hayte
My little pride and joy
For being an aunt
Has left me to enjoy
And here's to my Sara
My one and only best friend
For as hard as this is for me
It's ten times harder for you to comprehend

Scorpio (67.162.95.179) -- Saturday, July 24 2004, 12:50 am I really wish I could've helped her somehow, give her something to remember before she dies. But right now, she's half way across the country, and I can't visit her. Thank you so much for your comment, and she truly is an angel, I can understand why God would want her back so soon. Thank you very much, Terrie. |

Scorpio (67.162.95.179) -- Saturday, July 24 2004, 06:07 am Thank you, me and her mother dearly worry about Hayte's outcome, and hope to have her live life to its fullest if she's not able to live past her fifth year. My best friend has been through a lot, and I guess this pretty much drove her over the edge. I just hope she'll be alright. Thank you so much, we truly appreciate the fact people genuineley care. And the compliment brought a smile to my face. Thanks again! Smiles in return. |
Tarna (4.226.171.1) -- Monday, July 26 2004, 10:18 am You speak as if she is already gone. Just an idea but have you thought of sending the little child post cards.. Children like adults enjoy mail and postcards are good cause they can be read to and because of the pictures they can carry around that is just for them.. Might bring a little sunshine to a little girls final days and if you do it on a somewhat consistent basis it will give her something to look forward to and a reason to go on.... Just a thought since she is not gone yet.... and you seem to want to be able to do something to make a difference for her somehow.. A postcard in the mail is somethign she can understand and will make her feel special too... Great poem |
Scorpio (67.162.95.179) -- Monday, July 26 2004, 04:34 pm She pretty much is. Ironic to be, the child's very depressing during any scene with others. She knows she's going to die, has pretty much accepted it and tends to make us miserable with rememberance. The child is four years old, and hides in her room most of her time, or with her mother. Though, I suppose it would work, even though at the moment, I have absolutely no means of communication with her for a while. So I'd had to wait a good while until I'd be able to talk to her or her daughter, by any means. But thanks.. |
