What Matters To Me
26 July, 2004
Author: Steven S.
Hair as black as a moonless night
Or a raven awaiting its treacherous flight.
Eyes as beautiful as Tiger's Eye,
So beautiful that the stars must sigh.
An angelic voice like no other around
And a laugh that produces a heavenly sound.
Such things do not matter, at least not to me.
What matters is who they choose to be.
The young woman I mentioned in this blend
Has chosen to be a good person, a friend.
She's helped me with troubles, and I'm grateful for that,
But I like to joke how she's quick as a cat.
I never intend the mean things that I say;
With you, I hope that I am ok.
I just LOVE to talk to this friend of mine,
Every day I must wait 'til the clock reaches 9.
She's such a great person that I'd like to hear
But not talking to her is something I fear.
If she were to leave, I'd miss her forever
Because I don't think I could ever forget her.
But I'm glad that I have my good friend, Celina
To her, I can say "Estas muy bonita".
She may never like when I state my opinion,
But, nevertheless, she's always my minion.
I hope that we talk for as long as we live;
To her, my true friendship I'll always give.
I hope that she knows that I speak the truth.
Nothing can change that, not even Vermouth.
So, as I conclude this delicate piece,
I hope that our friendship will never cease.
I hope you enjoyed this poem of mine
My very good friend, who clings like a vine.

I didn't know what to put as the category, so I just put friends. |
