The Lost Soul
26 July, 2004
Author: Samantha N. Barham
i’m sitting all alone
alone inside these walls
trapped in total darkness
watching teardrops fall
everybody hates me
i can’t do anything right
people kicking me to the ground
and i can’t put up a fight
talking to the shadows
that whisper in my ear
i now am not as joyful
but am filled with anger and fear
crouching in the corner
with no blanket in the cold
I stay lying dying there
As I watch my soul unfold
Listening to the raindrops fall
Outside on the ground
Evil moves throughout my room
But doesn’t make a sound
So when you think
There’s nothing there
Because nothing can be seen
Think again and come to find
That evil lives in me
