Deaths Moment

Author: Vampyr Tears
In a hand of ivory bone and silken sinew
Lies a scarlet rose, stripped of all its beauty
Wilted from days in the dark
Withered from lack of love
In a mind, seen through a blue decaying eye
Lies a scarlet rose, slowly dying
As pedals flutter down to barren ground
While the fragile hand closes around the stem
A sickening crunch,
All that remains is nothing but dust

Meridian (152.163.253.8) -- Wednesday, July 28 2004, 07:42 am Oh man! This is so enchanting just like the rose in The Beauty and The Beast! Where when the last petals of the rose were shed, the Beast, finally turned into a handsome young man, after the spell was broken! Great poem, described wonderfully! Especially line 5, "in a mind, seen through a blue decaying eye"... Real good! I might find you in the Guiness Poetry Book of World Records! Good writing style! Smiles, Meri |
