Life’s Dark Side
29 July, 2004
Author: Andrew James Ball
Darkness grows around me,
As the light of hope slips away,
Giving into the cold loneliness of time.
Eventually everything that I know and love,
Will fade away and leave me with myself,
For company through all the ages of time.
Why must I be condemned to suffer,
As no other will ever have to suffer?
This is a fate far worse than death,
For I can only observe this world,
And be not of it any more.
This is my fate,
My destiny,
And my cures,
To walk the road as an immortal,
As time passes by without an upward glance.
